Hello everyone,
I wanted to share a quick introduction in relation to Elaine’s update. As she mentioned, Jonathan has selected me to help moderate the forum.
Some of you may have seen my previous articles:

A little about me: I graduated with an accounting degree and became a CPA in 2022. I live in Chicago with my wife. I started investing at 18 and follow the Boglehead principles. Professionally, I began my career at Deloitte and then worked at a few F500 multinationals focusing on tax and data.
I also share tips on X (Twitter), Instagram, and Threads about personal finance, taxes, and investing, and have reached over 350,000 followers in total.
As a moderator, my goal is to help keep this space friendly, informative, and engaging for everyone. I look forward to connecting with all of you, learning from you, and helping HD continue to grow as a positive and supportive community.

We appreciate your willingness to serve…and educate! I have faith all of us HD diehards will behave so you have an easy job. We have something in common already–I worked at KPMG back when there were “The BIG EIGHT” firms. Yes, I am dating myself.
PS I’ll buy you your favorite beverage if you’re ever in the far western suburbs–we’re fortunate to be able to choose either the Aurora or LaFox stations for Chicago-bound trains!
Hi Bogdan. Can you please review/approve the post I wrote this morning? Any HD posts containing embedded URLs get held by WordPress until the admin releases them.

What is your day job? Do you have an independent accounting practice, or are you employed by a large firm?
In addition to CPA, do you have any plans to become a financial advisor?

Thanks Bogdan for taking the reins. I and many others value the site Jonathan has built and curated over the years as a trusted voice in the financial world. Even though Im in my retirement years, I hope you bring awareness to financial principles for younger readers to deploy so I can share them with my son, daughter in law, and YES, my new lovely Grandaughter.

Welcome, and thanks! I’m a moderator at another site (baseball, not money-related) and know what a big responsibility that can be.
I have also been a moderator on a different, and considerably larger, site. While attacks by Korean bots seem to be a thing of the past, clashes between contributors are not. Recently we have been dealing with posts that are obviously AI: the policy on that site is to delete them.
I will be closely monitoring the forum posts for any AI generated content, which isn’t helpful to anyone..

I had taken your offer up by receiving your free newsletter, The Crunch, noted in earlier Humble Dollar articles. I look forward to reading more of them. For those in the HD community who are interested you can read Bogdan’s past Crunch articles here. I expect reading them will help introduce his thinking and style to us.
While I expect your contributions to the pool of Humble Dollar articles will lower the average age of those contributing, I believe your education and professional CPA status will be a great fit to the many professions and experiences of those who contribute articles, comments and discuss their life events at this website.
As a fellow CPA (mostly retired) I had the good fortune to work for and with other CPAs in local and regional CPA firms the majority of my working career. I wish you the best in your decision to help moderate this forum.
