Dana, let us know how well you keep up with former co-workers. For me, I'm afraid my co-workers won't have the time and energy to stay in touch after I retire. Typically I've seen that happen with other people who have left my workplace. Meanwhile, enjoy your retirement!

Can you compare the first in, first out (FIFO) versus average cost basis methods? Why pick one over the other? Thanks

Please educate me. If I am at work and want to create a log-in for a new website, how do I use the password manager? Of if I already have a password for a website that I created with the password manager, how do I use it? Do I have to log-in to the password manager at work or wherever I am?

My problem is that I mixed traditional (deductible) IRA contributions with non-deductible IRA contributions in the same IRA account. There is no way I can know which is which. I did the 8606 forms, but would have to do the pro-rata calculations in any case. And I couldn't afford to roll that portion of the IRA over to leave only the non-deductible amount alone. Hope this makes sense.

Jacknak, great points. You can always earn more money but you can't get more time. I'd like to retire before I get too tired to travel. I want to stay active in retirement.

The great unknown is how the stock market and economy will do. People are telling me now is not a good time to retire given the uncertainty--tariffs, inflation. SS and so on. That's unless you have a substantial pension.
