There is an excellent article in the Wall Street Journal about how to find what there is about you on the internet and how to delete it if you want. Here is the Link.
I read the article followed the suggestions and it was very easy. I hope it works. Has anyone tried this?
It looks like the only references to me are from this site, as I use screen names elsewhere.
Nick, thanks for the heads up on this great article/ service. Just started my search using the google tool.
Good topic to be aware of. I have not tried deleting my info, but if I felt it was necessary, I would try https://incogni.com/.
I read Kim Komando daily and she highly recommends incogni and has written a good article why she selected them. https://www.komando.com/tips/privacy/remove-personal-data-incogni/
Kurt the CyberGuy also recommends incogni.

A one-time removal probably won’t keep you removed. Something like incogni will continuously search to keep you scrubbed.
There is practically nothing about me on the internet. This is probably because I have never used my real name. I have this nym and another one.
I have not tried this. I read and enjoyed the linked WSJ article and many of the 200+ comments. A comment that I read which I thought best reflects my thinking is that trying to delete personal data from the web is unfortunately a whack-a-mole project and only works when dealing with ethical websites.
