I’m 61 and I’ve got a year left to live, but I still plan to work every day (msn.com)
I think others might like to read this article & see some great pictures of Jonathan in his earlier years.

I was surprised and delighted when this article popped up on my newsfeed yesterday. Like the other commenters, I enjoyed seeing Elaine and all the pictures. Even more significantly, I thought how wonderful it is that so many more people are now benefiting from your story, Jonathan. Reading and thinking about how you are accepting your diagnosis and living your days will benefit so many others in ways you (and we) can’t possibly foresee. Thank you for allowing us to travel with you. Sending my prayers and love.
Margaret, thanks for the link to this very nice article.
After reading Jonathan’s many affectionate mentions of Elaine, it was great to see a photo of the two of them together.
I agree
Jonathan, beautiful photo of you and Elaine.
All good wishes.
Thank you, Marjorie! The photo was from our wedding.
Jonathan – did you run that (or any) marathon in a cotton tee-shirt? When I was running in races I only wore synthetics to cut down on abrasions.
I ran four marathons and five half-marathons. The 1998 Philly marathon was only my second longer race, so I was still a newbie, as well as being pretty frugal. The synthetic fabrics only came later.
I ran many 10-milers and halves, but only one marathon. Countless 5K’s and 10K’s. Even with synthetics I had the occasional abrasion.
when I clicked on it above, the story unfolds below the picture of J., I’m not sure why it doesn’t open for you, here it is again; I’m 61 and I’ve got a year left to live, but I still plan to work every day (msn.com)
Thanks. I still can’t read it on my iPad, although I can listen to it there. I can read it on my desktop. I’m running Firefox and an ad blocker on both.
The link just gets me the headline, no story?
My family got/gets the Telegraph. I switched to the Guardian when I left home….
It opened fine for me.
Margaret: Thanks for posting the link. For me, appearing in the Telegraph is especially meaningful. My father’s last job in journalism, before we all moved from London to Washington, DC, in 1966, was as acting city editor for the Daily Telegraph.
Sorry I misspelled your name.
