    • So lets take it to the next level. At the grocery store people with “four times the average income” should pay more for their groceries. Or gas. Or housing. Or electricity and water. Then the other way. Let’s means test Social Security. Let’s look at the balances in your IRA’s and 401k’s and take some of that via taxes to make certain of the “fair share”. Where does it stop and who decides?

    • Re-electing the people who approve this nonsense is the problem. We get the government we deserve. If you continually vote to re-elect your congressman or senators nothing will change. Complaining about it is silly. We have the power to change it. It matters not what your party is. It matters that the elected office holders aren’t being held accountable.

    • Einstein said “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile”. I believe he was correct. Our society today is the most selfish and narcissistic I’ve seen in my lifetime. Especially the younger folks. Absolutely agree with the personal responsibility parts of your article. Not so much the rest.

    • Your home is worth exactly what you are willing to accept from a buyer. Unless, of course, you are required to sell it for some reason. Then the market will dictate its worth.

    • I think peace of mind pays a very high interest rate. Especially in retirement. Zero debt also pays a very high piece of mind interest. If one is fortunate enough to have won the game, perhaps it’s wise to stop playing.

    • Seems a smart guy like you would know about some ways to avoid the ATM fee. Fidelity Cash Management for example. I’m sure there are others. They refund the fee regardless of where you get the cash.

    • If your work defines your life you’re missing the point of life. Of course not everyone sees life the same way as Brady does. To each his own. He is the GOAT and I doubt he will diminish his reputation by playing too long. His standards are far beyond our expectations.
