As you may know, months before Jonathan’s death the John C. Bogle Center for Financial Literacy launched the Jonathan Clements Getting Going on Savings Initiative.
Over the past year, I’ve received numerous inquiries as to the status of the program. I’m pleased to say that a formal update is now available here.
Thank you to everyone who supported this one of a kind initiative.
Thanks for the update, Elaine, it is great news. 👍
What a great beginning to the initiative! Thanks, Elaine, for the link.
This sentence from the report shows the fantastic response to Jonathan’s great idea: “Please note that given the outpouring of contributions and the time needed to build out the program, the Bogle Center isn’t seeking additional funds for the Clements Initiative at this time.”
Thank you Elaine for the update. I can think of no more fitting tribute to my brother Jonathan than an initiative that continues the work he cared so passionately about. Jonathan believed that financial education could change lives, especially when that knowledge was shared early. As his brother, it fills me with enormous pride to know that his wisdom and generosity will continue to help future generations. He is greatly missed by me and many others, but knowing that his legacy lives on through initiatives like this brings me great comfort.
