mine was simple and easy a new set of fitted irons.......now my golf game is updated and I'm done for a few years.....scratched the itch to spend and was cheap $1500
RQ
thnx for another informative article
I have been lucky in life by being able to save and spend at the same time so the averages have no meaning to me. I also take SS and 100% P&T from the VA with that there is no need to take any money from our Roth and other Mutual Fund which we use for our Emergency Fund. We are lucky to live in a country that treats us fairly
Keep up the good work to make people think......Right or Wrong
RQ
good article as ALL of yours are even if I disagree gives me another viewpoint
for us there is no magic number ........as long as we have a positive cash flow and an emergency fund I feel we will be fine
leave RQ alone all he is trying to do is make us think and make up our own mind.......mine and mt wife was to tale at 62 because we already had a cash flow so the extra has paid for rounds pf golf and dinners out for me it has been 18 years of joy.......too each there own
money held in accounts is that just paper statement and that is why I carry $300 in my pocket just in case the Cyber World has a melt down........I feel I can weather the storm until the Nerds fix what ever code they need.....the world did not end on Y2K so I think they have a handle on it that is why I still have a flip phone.......KISS
this is one I would not like to revisit it but it happened........we had just returned from a great golf trip to Ireland and sitting with morning coffee watching the Today show at 8:45 AM 9/11/01 than it happened.......we recovered from this as we will from the Market selloff .....we are resilient and look forwards also learn from history
