    • I think the future is something that seems so far away and with all the things you have to do today and this week, it's easy to push that to the back burner. Why worry about 10 years from now when you're just trying to get through this week? What sucks is that retirement is the type of thing where you benefit from preparing today, with compound interest and all. So when retirement comes, you wish you would've prepared for it when you were worrying about schedules and meetings and all the worries of the day.

    • This is a great story. I had a similar friend in my neighborhood and we became pen pals when he moved to Tennessee. I still have his letters, we used to send each other Marvel comic book cards because that was the friendship currency of our childhood. We fell out of touch and, to be honest, I'm not sure I would even recognize him if I saw him. It's not three years later, more like 33, but with the power of the internet, maybe I can find him. Thanks for the inspiration.
