The “price to be paid” will be our freedoms. Well said Marjorie!

Rick, Taylor Larimore cured me of new car envy. We had the 'it gets me from point a* to point b* talk’ twenty plus years ago. My looking ahead then I sold the auto I’d been in, and emulated him. Accords and Camrys run forever. I’d advise you to keep your auto. Ford & Toyota just entered into a new deal eliminating dealers position as middle-men. I’m under the impression theres a backlog of C-19 inventory on some dealers lots unpaid for by dealers. When he and I were leaving the spot we were at he pulled up in a 90s Toyota. I was not walking well at the time and did not know his car. Remove emotion from the equation, you have one of the most reliable autos.

I’d advise you try a Roku* express device($29) in an open HDMI port on your tv if you have wi-fi. It's another free platform of tv options.

Recognizing the rate of the www's upgrades ahead I knew I needed to stay up on www advances. My(modem/router)with providers wi-fi, and OTA tv options. Some new smart TVs exclude options for OTA tv. Driving internet providers proliferation. YouTube has become an invaluable resource. Every provider wants to provide for your interests. Luckily I’m able to exist on OTA tv, plus the www’s streaming many apps of interest. I’d suggest most streaming providers do afford a streaming option for NBC, ABC, and CBS RQuinn. I know even my OTA tv option has (4.1,4.2,4.3, 4.4,4.5, and 15.1), all are OTA and WBZ = NBC. Then it's additionally provided streaming online. A Roku TV dongle, on a smart TV, doubles all available channel options RQuinn.YouTube will help your insights on its set-up but iirc you mentioned it might be better addressed by your son, the contractor. LG now has 8G TVs, few providers offer 8G service.

Great list Sundar, I believe health and longevity are today’s primary concerns moving forward. Particularly for many born in the 40s, 50s or before. The upper ‘10% seem curiously focused on its own individualization. This country might in fact be the next Venezuela or Lebanon with its unabated.gov bloat, and policies. Not to mention financial mis-management. Musk fired everyone at twitter-(X).to cut its bloat to survive profitably, and it worked. Musks had revolutionary thinking with transportation, housing, with space colonization now on the table. War no more...against earths current known history! I believe histories currently being rewritten. Musks thinking is certainly unique, and financially prudent. He sold 3 multi-million mega homes for a box-able family spot to live and Brian Johnsons 46, with the health stats of a 20yr old w/his x-lifestyle. The times, they are a changing was once said. As George Burns said “Getting old is mandated, growing up is not’” in my understanding.
BrainyQuotes.Todays youths bring innovative thinking. Thats my interpretation and good news for all, new ideas like Musks unique thinking is needed for all to survive and prevail, not exclusively Musk of course Hopefully avoiding a mass extinction.Post: Risks Retirees Face

It’s wise to continue these warnings as aging never abates and others are always getting older should hear it also Klaatu. But I hear you. Seems sad when informed people dismiss truths, as many do. Much like sticking one's head in the sand. That seldomly turns out well.

I applaud you Casey, particularly ensuring your offspring have educational freedoms and options other than conventional norms. Sounds like your daughter recognizes it also. As Mike Pompeo (CIA,DOD) stated. The Teachers Union realistically sets the standards. It's unfortunate, along with big business lobbyist. All he seen in his governmental experience has been usa’s educational standards in decline, lowing standards often more costly and less genuine. https://news.yahoo.com/pompeo-says-head-teacher-union-232644721.html I’m unsure who’s credited with its saying. Thinking outside the box as you’ve done is exemplarily. The recently lapsed Charlie Munger said it also. “Take the high road, it’ll serve you well being much less traveled”. Good luck to you & yours..

Dick, I’d suspect your input here is as important in balancing conventional thinking as nisprisus input is on the bogleheads site. Thats a complementary comparison.(imo) Recently the last decades combination of life's unknown unknowns, the pandemic and its inflationary effects, will plague all going forward. Not to mention A.I.’s inception. Theres no telling the future, and those that do are mis-led. I suspect you are an individual of his era, as are we all, individually. I recognize USAs history being both recognized and rewritten as we speak. Figuratively speaking. Columbus was not the first one here in 1492(thx!), adapt we must, that or perish. I was not inferring you were a dinosaur Dick. Just like all here influenced by your era and upbringing, and imo ahead of your era. I know a primary engineer retired from BOS big dig project many decades back. He delegated computer learning to others. You’ve embraced it, although he is your elder . Best wishes to all.

Rich, I used a tool to compare a 60/40 PEG vs VWIAX comparison. As co-holdings though, held in a theoretical portfolio of 100%, minus costs. They seem to mirror one another closely fwiw. https://www.portfoliovisualizer.com/backtest-portfolio#analysisResults Your advice as always are timeless truths(imo). Viewed differently by different generations at different stages in life's journey.

I’d second Michael1’s comment. Having to have one associated field of study whilst schooling. I also pursued asian martial arts sanctioned by school programs administrators. The “teach them whilst young’’ theorem has remained and assisted me into my years and I plan to never stop. I went down on the ice not three days ago. Being able to spread its impact out in a roll saved the trauma of concrete. Great outcome imo. Good luck!
