I retired from healthcare at 61 and the last 10 years were with an oncology team. You will discover a few angels walking among your team. Don’t be afraid to question your treatment plan, push your doctors for more, and since yours is a rare form push, push, push for evaluation at one of the major treatment centers in the country. Inquire about MD Anderson in TX and others. Yes to immunotherapy if it’s appropriate. Demand searches for a clinical trial that could be addressing your form of lung cancer. It will take time and a lot of asking, asking but keep at it. We’re all in this together, thank you for sharing such a personal part of you. And believe it or not, everyone will be okay.
