maybe a different author talked more about inflation. but there's a comment on here about 130+-%/30 yrs inflation. i've long thought that if i think i've got enuf now, if inflation eats half of it in 20 yrs, i'd be ok w/that. it'd still be plenty.
another way of sayin' it is if the number stays the same. say a million bucks. if i still have a million bucks in 20 yrs, i'll be happy, even if it's value is half.
i think this is too obvious: i've never been one to borrow. the bit about taking on debt being the equivalent of trying to buy time.....never seemed necessary or worthwhile. the best part about being older, at 75, is not really needing to be in a hurry. enjoy the time that is.
i've never been one to complain about usps. i've lived a long way from town for 50 yrs now, and am always amazed at how well today's pony express works.
i wonder if there might/must be more energy bein' burned up by various companies delivering boxes of stuff from amazon...
i've said that we're not really growin' trees for lumber, we're growing boxes!
in these older years, it occurred to me that "time is money" has more than one sound interpretation.
for one, for all the diligent saving of "money" in a lifetime, you can afford more "time."
i really do like not having to be in a hurry!

enuf money allows your choice of what to do with time. it is said that borrowers try to buy time. it's way good not bein' a borrower.
