I think that we are born as problem solvers and continue as such till we die. That is purpose driven. As we solve one problem another moves up to take its place. We look for problems to solve. Could be simple such as hunger or more complicated but pressing. Our brains much like computers are meant to solve problems. Successful people tend to be excellent problem solvers even though likely to be batting less than .500
I know exactly who you are referring to and he does take great pleasure in hacking the system. He may call himself retired but he is very much engaged in work.
Congratulations! I agree with your view of today’s youth. I think it is more indicative of the prosperity which exists in our country. Basic necessities are taken care of and so as humans we create new problems to solve. It seems struggle is part of our DNA even if we have to manufacture it.
