    • There seems to be a variety of opinions on this topic and a few with porcupine quills. It makes me wonder if there's a non-judgmental way to get data or if there's any kind of study/analysis that examines how people get 'trapped' in cc debt. My personal experience from friends or family is that the steps often leading to cc debt result from needless spending/financial mismanagement in many cases, but again that's just anecdotal, which doesn't really support my opinion with data.

    • Many people may not know that a spouse you have divorced may claim 50% of your benefits that you could have claimed at full retirement age. He/she can request this from SSA and you will not be notified. You can ask SSA administration if anyone is claiming this benefit but they will not reveal the name or amount.
