      First off, if you've read his blog, Justin of https://rootofgood.com is probably the most down to Earth FIRE blogger out there and certainly isn't a braggart...  So you object to him and his family living a perhaps frugal yet comfortable lifestyle (since 2004), and because of that, it has allowed them to continually save and invest into their retirement nest egg. Which has now grown to $2.7 million and generates a nice yearly dividend that he subsidizes with various side gigs. And because of the current Government rules and regulations his kids may qualify for assistance. Yet this "isn't fair" to you.  Perhaps read more of his personal journey, before painting everyone with the same brush.
