Good Morning Jonathan! You’ve now arrived at the point in life (like me) where you have to begin focusing on what Mortimer Adler called “leisure work”. If you can get a copy of his book “A Vision of the Future”, the first part on “Work and Leisure” explains it well. The rest of the book is worth reading as well. His follow up book “A Guidebook to Learning” gives some practical advice on what is an essential aspect of “leisure work”. I would add that public service is another important part of this time in our lives including the demands of citizenship. See the recently published book “The Bill of Obligations” as a refresher on what those demands are. If you have a cause you are passionate about taking action on, read “America, the Owner’s Manual, New Edition” for practical tips on how to get things done for your cause. And of course, spending time with family and friends is one of the most enjoyable parts of our life and not to be discounted. Along with our spiritual lives which must be attended to as we grow in wisdom and humility. Bon Voyage!
