I have similar dilemma. My almost seven year old car with only 54k miles somehow has a leaky head gasket (coolant leaking). Service advisor doesn’t know how leak started. Cost to repair is $9k, labor intensive; car is valued by dealer between $8-13k, if in good condition. My choices are repair, or sell car and replace (lease or buy new). I can complain to car manufacturer, but out of warranty, so this may not work. In any case I need a car.
