As pointed out below - I read this as a not so subtle message from Cohen that he can cut eBay's headcount significantly to increase the value of the combined entity. Hey everyone, look at what is happening with Block, Oracle, Coinbase, Cloudflare, Microsoft, etc. and I can do the same with eBay. What a bunch of @##$ - maybe he can but this is short sighted thinking. Just because we can do something doesn't mean we should do that thing. Wisdom often shows itself in restraint rather than excess. tl;dr This seems like an old school LBO shakedown wrapped in AI myth. I agree with the comparison to RJR Nabisco as well.
