I don’t worry about the inevitable—aging, physical decline, death. I hope for no serious mental deterioration, grandparents have all been ok in that regard, but it helps me to at least have saved enough for long-term care. My most serious concerns are extended family money needs, and as Kim said below, post-rational society driven by greed and power.
One of us still working at 71, no end in sight by choice. Retirement will probably involve caring for our last remaining parent. Am worried about having to help more family in the future with funds as we start to see Medicare/Medicaid/NIH cuts go into effect.

I like the idea of tracking together to force a less interested party to at least see how to access accounts and what’s in them.
