Trust – The reason I read HumbleDollar

I have just read a guest post dated 7/25/2024 to Collabfund.com titled Fill The Bathtub by Ted Lamade the managing Director at the Carnegie Institution for Science. I recommend reading this thoughtful article about trust.

A link to the article is –

I have been thinking a lot about why I read HumbleDollar most every day. I think the key for me is the trust I have that what is posted is the truth as experienced by the writers whether the source is the editor, the writers or the commenters.

The linked article reminded me of this special gift we have received.

Thanks to Jonathan for creating this blog.

This article appeared in the recirculation; glad it did. I’m also on the distribution list from collabfund.com and enjoy their articles from Morgan Housel and others, such as Ted Lamade.

I agree with your your thoughts on HD for a couple reasons. One is that no one here has a profit agenda, and two is that JC runs a tight ship by not allowing the stupid stuff found elsewhere.
Regarding Lamond’s article. I like it but don’t agree that most people want to be told the truth. Sadly I think that most just want their own beliefs validated.
