Happy Thanksgiving from Kill Devil Hills, NC. This is our family’s annual Thanksgiving vacation at the beach. It started on a whim in 1995. We rented a 7 bedroom house. Twenty-nine years later we are 46 strong, and rent a 27-bedroom house. It’s a testament to my in-laws who founded a strong, loving family, who somehow manage to enjoy each other’s company. The family is also a shining example of the tenets espoused on HD – work hard, live reasonably, save, invest modestly, and take care of family. I wish all the HD community a wonderful day of family, food and football.
Rick, I don’t know how I missed this. but thanks for sharing. I wish your family a perpetual gathering, and hope you give an annual report as long as you are able.

Happy Thanksgiving, HD friends. I have some good news that our family member with ALS was able to go home this week in time for Thanksgiving. He is bedridden, and his disease is still progressing. The transition has not been without its challenges, but his greatest wish was to come home. Hug your loved ones, life is a gift. Chris

No turkey or football in England today, but had a nice morning walk to the next village over for coffee and cake. Beautiful day. Thankful to be able to live this life.
