I am beginning to think we have left it too late.
I am 86 and my wife is 81. Until last year we were both healthy and active and were planning to age in place. Recently my health has quickly deteriorated so my future of living independently is totally unrealistic. In NJ the CCRC's have multi- year wait lists so that won't work for us. I would appreciate what other alternatives readers might suggest ?
