I like to piggy back on “The second is… give back” comment. I retired at 55 from a major airline. I became a volunteer fireman, interior certified. The wealth of information I learned from current & retired FDNY fireman at the Suffolk County Fire Academy stay with me to this day at 72. EMTs are sorely needed in all communities, some communities are now paying their EMTs due to the lack of same. I also became a Master Gardener, through the local agricultural extension. After 175 hours of community service, I’m still engaged with my HOA & offering advice when requested. Both in their own way I found truly rewarding, and the opportunity to meet tremendous people along the way.
