Retired late 2024. My career ran the gamut, everything from cleaning and stacking used bricks during the dismantling of an old factory, to finance (both brokerage and banking), to finally settling into the world of energy (project management and consulting). My wife and I married young, and we're still married, coming up on 40 years now, with five children and several grandchildren. I'm anxious to start traveling, at least on occasion, while she prefers spending as much time as she can with the kids and their growing families. Still trying to figure this retirement thing out.

Excellent, thank you for sharing. It's also relevant in the life of my daughter, so we have something to look forward to.

Thank you for your comment, Greg. It definitely feels good to see the result of so much effort and time. I'm glad your wife has found readers for her work and that she finds satisfaction in the process of writing and publishing. Does she have an agent and publisher, or is she self-publishing? Give her my encouragement and congratulations. If you can share, I'd like to see her books.

Incredible. Yet we see people make comments (worse yet, decisions!) based on their own personal biases or feelings all the time on social media.
