    • For some reason, the range of tips I am willing to give is much narrower than the range of service quality -- there are some truly excellent servers that can magically create a memorable experience, and (obviously) those that fall far short of the expected standard. I find it difficult psychologically to tip outside the 20-25% range, though I wish I had the guts to tip amazing servers 35%+ and terrible servers below 20% (within reason, for many of the reasons others have mentioned). For others who mentioned having a baseline and adjusting based on quality of service... What is your baseline and range of adjustments?
