I am in your age group. I grew up listening to the reds on a transistor radio. I was a good fan until free agency and life got in the way. The radio taught me how to listen to the details and how to story tell myself. Great article.
As we age health is always the most important. Our independence and way of life can be greatly impacted. I do my medical annual and don't hesitate to consult my doctor if I have an issue that does not go away in a reasonable time. Being open and honest with the doctor has been great for me.
I have a 2019 toyota highlander with a v6. Already has 83000 miles. I do the maintenance myself unless it takes special tools. I reevaluate the vehicle annually. So far the worst was replacing the front struts. Cost me $300 in parts. And 4 hours of my time. Dealer wanted $2400. Which would still have been worth it. I am planning on keeping it to around 150000 miles. At that point I worry about the electronics failing
Immediate guaranteed life annuities should be a part of a balanced financial plan. 3-4 sources of income in retirement is nice if you can afford these things.

Post: RDQ Sorry folks, I still see annuities, including deferred annuities, as a viable option for creating steady retirement income.
