The time weighted return and dollar weighted return ( personal rate of return) are both valuable. However, many investors invest a regular amount every week or every month.
I would like to see the historical mutual fund/ stock returns using this method of investing which is more relevant than a lump sum return seen in most prospectuses. For example, “What would my personal return be if I invested 1000/ month in Berkshire since 1980 ?”
I have found a calculator for the s/p 500 (don’t quit your day job website ) but have not found one for any other investment classes.
Any suggestions?
