Somehow I cannot accept this notion that volatility is indicator of risk or that volatile stocks are riskier. For me, risk is the probability or likelihood of losing the investment. There are only 4 options in managing any risk.
1. Avoid (e.g. if you are afraid of car accident, do not drive.)
2. Reduce (use public transportation)
3. Transfer (buy insurance policy)
4. Accept (driving at night is risky, but you accept the risk and drive). Same logic will apply to any other risk.
I bought my last car in 2012 exactly the same way. I negotiated by email beforehand, got the car VIN number and picked up exact same car from the dealer. I did take expensive financing from the dealer which made him happy, but immediately refinanced within 3 days with my credit union for 1.99%
I fail to understand why everyone seems so obsessed to pay cash. I was never offered any discount for paying cash and I always got loan at low interest like 1.99%

Vanguard does support Yubikey. I use it all the time to login to Vanguard. https://www.bogleheads.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=349826

I am very happy that Tesla decided to sell their cars direct to the end users cutting out the car dealer cartel.
